a. Identify a researchable question related to birds, then develop a hypothesis that can be tested with the time and resources that you have.

b. Read about what you are studying for background, and summarize what you learn. Write down citation information for the resources that you use.
Tuesday, November 1
c. Outline your method, which may include designing an experiment, collecting data, accessing ebird, or gathering other information.
Friday, October 28
d. Do your study, collecting any necessary data and information. You may need to make data sheets.
Monday, October 31st to November 4th (at least) You may start sooner and go longer through the weekends.
e. Organize the data that you collect in tables and graphs. Consider analyzing the data.
Monday, November 7 - Thursday, November 10
f. Create a first draft of your report.
Monday, November 14
g. Go through a peer-review process and edit your work based on feedback.
Monday, November 14 & Tuesday, November 15
h. Communicate what you did and what you learned through a final oral presentation using your wiki page as part of the presentation.
Thursday, November 17
Consider submitting your work to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
